The Spider Plant, also know as Airplane Plant, Spider Ivy, or Ribbon Plant, is another classic house plant made popular in the Victorian-era. It’s easy to grow and multiplies faster than you can find friends to share it with! This plant gets its name because of its growth habit - each mother plant will send out multiple offshoots or "spiderettes" that hang down from the mother plant, making the plant look like a web. The Spider Plant is non-toxic to both humans and pets
Care tips: All this plant needs is some bright, indirect sunlight, and water whenever the top two inches of soil are dry, and it will thrive! It enjoys cooler temperatures so keep out of the way from direct sunlight or radiator heating. The Spider Plant is super easy to propagate - you can do so by making divisions from the mother plant or by planting the spiderettes once they've established a bit of roots. Mature plants will produce delicate little white flowers.
