In the wild, the Elephant Plant (also known as Spekboom, elephant bush, bacon tree) is a favourite food for elephants, hence the name. Although they may grow massive in the wild, in your home they can be pruned easily to be of a manageable size. The Elephant Plant is known for its woody stem with thick branches where succulent leaves grow. They are an ideal plant for placing in baskets.
