The African Mask Plant (Alocasia “polly”) doesn’t come from Africa at all, but from Asian rainforests. The African Mask Plant (which is also known as the Elephant’s Ear) gets its name for the mask-shaped leaves, with white veins that contrast dramatically against the usual dark purple-green colour. The ideal environment to keep an African Mask Plant is in a warm and humid environment; they do not tolerate cold temperatures very well.

  • Highly distinct leaf shape
  • Dark leaves and white veins juxtapose very well
  • Produces interesting tubers in the soil as it grows

*Comes in a standard plastic nursery pot
